Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer who brings deep experience with Pimcore and the drive to build scalable, high-performing enterprise solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working across multiple systems, and contributing to architecture and solution design.

You will work across PIM, DAM, CDP, API integrations, microservices, AWS cloud, and modern data models, while collaborating with a talented cross-functional team.

What You Will Do

Pimcore Engineering

  • Build, extend, and customize Pimcore applications using PHP and Symfony.
  • Architect and manage data models, attributes, workflows, taxonomies, product structures, and asset libraries.
  • Implement features across PIM, DAM, and CDP while ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Improve speed, caching, indexing, and system-wide optimization for large datasets.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and lead technical decision-making for Pimcore components.

Backend & API Development

  • Build secure, well-structured REST APIs and microservices.
  • Design modular backend components and reusable libraries.
  • Optimize database structures and queries (MySQL/MariaDB).

Integration Engineering

  • Integrate Pimcore with ERPs, CRMs, eCommerce platforms, catalog systems, CDPs, and marketing tools.
  • Work with iPaaS platforms (preferably Boomi) to develop workflows, mappings, error handling, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with integration architects to define patterns, standards, and data contracts.

AWS Cloud & DevOps

  • Deploy and run Pimcore workloads on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.).
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and basic DevOps activities.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and robust security across environments.

Team & Delivery Contribution

  • Work closely with Architects, QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in requirement deep dives, technical grooming, and estimation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support capability building within the GDC.

What We’re Looking For Technical

Expertise

  • Strong PHP (7/8) and Symfony fundamentals.
  • Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience with Pimcore.
  • Deep understanding of PIM/DAM/CDP, data modeling, product catalogs, workflows, and classification systems.
  • Strong MySQL/MariaDB skills including optimization, indexing, and schema design.
  • Experience building secure backend systems and APIs.

Integration & Cloud Skills

  • Experience with iPaaS tools: Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS fundamentals (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, Lambda).
  • Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous communication patterns.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, or other eCommerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of MDM, data governance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using GraphQL.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
